Sometimes, people are of the view that they are at liberty to exercise their freedom of speech.For that matter,they are moved to make utterances without noting the consequences. Ghanaian gospel musician,Diana Asamoah has landed herself in a big trouble amidst her comments on the Homowo festival.Homowo is a harvest festival celebrated by the Ga people of Ghana. The festival starts in the month of early June and August with the planting of crops (mainly maize and yam) before the rainy season starts. During the festival, they perform a dance called Kpanlogo. The Ga people celebrate Homowo in the remembrance of the famine that once happened in their history in precolonial Ghana.The “Akoko abon kokrooko” hitmaker took to social media trying to link the festival to idol worshiping and called for it’s abolishment.Her comments resulted in her summon before the Ga Traditional Council to answer some questions yesterday. Diana begged for forgiveness before acting president, Nii Adotey Otintor II and some chiefs of the Ga tribe.Diana on her kneels begged for forgiveness continuously, she was asked to withdraw her words on social media and return for the final judgement.
