Kai Havertz is Chelsea’s top scorer this season on eight goals in all competitions

Chelsea secured their third win in a row with a 3-1 victory over a struggling Leicester City side.

Boosted by their recent Champions League success against Borussia Dortmund, Chelsea began the match strongly, with Ben Chilwell scoring a goal against his former club with a superb volley.

Joao Felix and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall both hit the woodwork in quick succession, and Felix had a goal disallowed for offside by VAR.

Leicester equalised through Patson Daka, who fired in a brilliant goal after Ricardo Pereira dispossessed Felix outside the box. However, Chelsea regained the lead just before half-time thanks to a superb finish by Kai Havertz.

Mykhailo Mudryk thought he had scored his first goal for Chelsea, but it was disallowed for offside in the second half. Mateo Kovacic sealed the win for Chelsea with a volley from Mudryk’s header.

Leicester City, who finished the game with ten men after Wout Faes was sent off for a second booking, have now lost five consecutive matches and are only one point above the relegation zone. Meanwhile, Chelsea’s mini-revival continues as they maintain their winning streak.
