#FixTheCountry’s lead convener, Oliver Mawuse Barker-Vormawor, has stated that one of the victims of the military brutality in Ashaiman has died.

Mr Barker-Vormawor, who is providing legal services to some of these victims, stated this on Facebook on Thursday, March 16.

According to him, the victim lost his life from injuries sustained as a result of the military action.

Soldiers stormed some areas of Ashaiman on Tuesday, March 7 in an effort to fish out perpetrators of the murder of another officer, Imoro Sherrif, three days earlier.

The trooper in the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) was attacked by some armed robbers, who stabbed him in the arm and bolted with his i-Phone.

Six persons including the buyer of the phone have since been arrested by the police.

But there was controversy when the soldiers stormed Ashaiman in an effort to fish out the perpetrators.

One hundred and eighty-four persons were picked up with 150 released the following day.

One of the victims is the one being reported dead by Mr Barker-Vormawor.
